20th October, 2004 Hong Kong and Macau
Temperature is escalating in Macau this Autumn
With the Motorsports Festival and Latin America Fiesta
2004 taking center stage
Macau Government Tourist Office,
Macau Tower, TurboJET and GRULAC
Jointly presenting the Motor Sports x Latin America
Fiesta 2004
Macau has always stood out as a popular destination
within the Pearl River Delta. Its unique cultural
background and entertainment elements coupled with
its accessibility through an intricate network of
land and sea transportation renders it the perfect
short-haul getaway destination for tourists from Southern
China. This autumn, Macau will be hit with an unprecedented
heat wave, as 3 international motor sports events
cross-over with the Latin America Fiesta at Macau
Tower, proudly organized and sponsored by MGTO, GRULAC,
TurboJET and Macau Tower.
Three Highly anticipated international Motor sports
Events
Co-organized by the Macau Sports Development Board,
Macau Government Tourist Office and China-Macau Autosports
Club, the FIM-UAM Asian Motocross Championships Macau
and the 2004 Asian Karting Open Championship will
be held over the weekends of October 30-31 and November
13-14, marking a perfect prelude to the 51st Grand
Prix Championship which is to take place the following
weekend of November 20-21. The three international
events are attracting world-class racers from across
the globe to compete for the honor, and millions of
motor sports fans will be swarming to the tracks to
experience the vibe of roaring engines and witness
the charisma of world racing champions.
Motorsport Festival crossing over with Latin America
Fiesta 2004
In September, Macau Tower achieved unprecedented success
with its Firework Festival held in parallel with the
16th Macau International Firework Display Contest.
The event attracted thousands of visitors from Hong
Kong and Macau, and a dramatic 300% increase in visitor
count has been recorded compared with the same event
held last year. Following this success, we are introducing
the Motor Sports x Latin America Fiesta this autumn
to complement the immaculately exhilarating Motorsports
Festival.
Voted by free-walkers as "the most popular destination
in Macau" within the "Macau Welcomes You" campaign
held this summer, Macau Tower won the heart of all
voters with its captivating scenery, seven top quality
restaurants offering the largest selection of gourmets
and nine innovative adventure activities created by
AJ Hackett which offer enormous fun and excitement.
To complement the overwhelming exhilaration of the
Motorsports Festival, Macau Tower is joining hands
with Macau Government Tourist Office, TurboJET and
the eight countries under GRULAC to extend a carnival
of fun at the "Latin America Fiesta 2004" over the
period of October 30, 2004 to November 21, 2004. Macau
will be really on fire this autumn!
Embrace Red-Hot Latin American Culture

For four consecutive Saturdays (October 30, November
6, November 13 and November 20), Macau Tower will be
extending a "High Rev Sizzling Latin American BBQ" along
the outdoor boardwalk. The air will be filled with tantalizing
flavors from the grill as well as authentic Latin dishes
inspired by globally renowned chefs Luis Porras. Impressionable
Latin food fills the menu including favorites such as
the Guacamole, Ceviche de Pescado, Antichucho, Pescado
Sarandeado, Carne Asada en Cerveza and Arroz al Cilantro.
Apart from the exotic gourmets, guests will be revved
up in Latin-themed on-stage performances over the
