Sponsors for today's event include Macau Coca-Cola Beverage Co Ltd., Choi Heong Yuen Bakery, The Macao Water Supply Co. Ltd. and TurboJET. The Provisional Municipal Council of Macau (IACM), Macau Red Cross and AJ Hackett Macau Tower have together provided enormous support to make this year’s event a success.

After the completion of their charity climb, all participants received gift packs that included reusable shopping bags given away by The Macao Water Supply Co. Ltd., TurboJET $50 cash coupons, a selection of traditional festive snacks from Choi Heong Yuen Bakery, Bonaqua mineralized water as well as Macau Tower fortune couplets for a fruitful celebration at the start of the year of the Tiger.
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Macau S.A.R., Macau Tower is also offering to Macau citizens participating in this year's charity walk a special rate of MOP$98 for a New Year's walk-around at AJ Hackett's Skywalk X. The occasional offer was an opportunity not-to-be-missed for many participants, a vast number of them have opted to place photos taken today in the "Joyous Celebration Time Capsules", which along with wishes made for the year of the Tiger will be preserved at Macau Tower until year 2014.
Visitors were also encouraged to help those in need at the start of a new year, by donating to charity at collection boxes placed at the Tower during today's event. A local family interviewed said after completing their session, "This is our first time taking part in the Macau Tower Charity Walk. It is very meaningful to have a New Year walk-around at the Tower with the family, and to educate our children the joy of giving. It is a Chinese tradition not to visit friends or relatives on the 3rd day of every New Year, we all loved what we did today and decided to make it a regular family event in years to come!"
