Unveiled on August 17, 2005 at Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre, the SkyJump is now officially enlisted under the Guinness World Records as the "World's Highest Commercial Decelerator Descent".

Macau Tower was informed of the official accreditation from the panel a few days ago, and the certifications have now arrived in Macau. Chairman of Macau Tower Ms. Pansy Ho expressed with enthusiasm, "As we strive to introduce unique entertainment challenges to Macau, we immediately thought of the SkyJump. It is a great opportunity to feature our city within the international arena as well as promoting our tourism. The successful enlisting of SkyJump as a Guinness World Record is a testimony to the city's vibrancy, high-spirits and dedication towards making history. Since its inauguration, the 233m challenge has taken over 2000 guests on its exhilarating flight, an average of 3.5 guests per hour. General Manager of Macau Tower Mark Horan says, "The team of Macau Tower is very honoured to have the world-record SkyJump, we hope citizens of Macau share the same pride!"
