Fly the Macanese Sky with the World's Highest Thrill Macau Tower-AJ Hackett "SkyJump"

This coming July, Macau will have another envy of the world to boast about apart from its flourishing economy and unique history. The SkyJump, a new attraction at Macau Tower that takes guests on a 20 second flight over the breathtaking cityscape of Macau, will be the highest adventure of its kind around the world. Taking off from the outer rim of Macau Tower 233 m aboveground, it is an astounding 41 meters higher than the only other SkyJump in the world at Sky Tower Auckland where the world's highest bungy record was created.

This exciting attraction, designed and operated by two of the world's greatest adventure master-minds, AJ Hackett and Waitomo Adventures, is awaiting to make its debut in Asia this July 2005, taking the altitude limit of similar adventures to a new height!

The SkyJump- Fly above All Others!
Macau Tower has let its guests climb the sky with its Mast Climb and to walk in the sky with Skywalk X. Now, it is offering the ultimate in its Sky Adventure Series- to fly the Macanese Sky with SkyJump.

The SkyJump was first introduced to Auckland New Zealand by its creator Waitomo Adventures Ltd., expert in rafting and abseiling challenges. Joining hands with AJ Hackett, pioneer of modern bungy jumping, the SkyJump will make its first appearance in Asia at Macau Tower. Based upon the principle of 'fan descenders', a technology used in skydiving training and in performing 'falling stunts' in movies, the SkyJump lets its guests fly through air at 75km/h in 20 seconds before decelerating to a comfortable landing speed upon reaching ground.

Impeccable Safety
Challengers in specially tailored suits are connected to three cables with a strain capacity of 3000kg for absolute safety. The side cables maintain trajectory & stability to ensure a smooth and steady flight even in windy conditions. No human intervention or motor mechanics are involved throughout the descent. At approximately 10 meters above the ground, the cable drum switches down-gear to allow for a soft landing. Unlike bungy jump, SkyJump is a controlled aerial journey involving no rebound or hanging upside down. With AJ Hackett's profound experience and impeccable safety record for over a decade, guests can realize their flying dream with total confidence.

Other Sky Adventure Series
This summer, Macau Tower-AJ Hackett invites all visitors to experience the fun-filled sky of Macau with its Sky Adventure Series. From climbing to walking to flying the sky, each challenge offers a different kind of thrill uniquely available at Macau Tower.

Mast Climb
Macau Tower is the one and only tower in the world that takes its guests to its very top. A true test of stamina and courage for those who dare to conquer Macau's highest summit at 338 meters!

Skywalk X
Without handrail, glass wall or grate at a thrilling altitude of 233 meters aboveground, walk the outer rim of the Tower with complete safety - thanks to the world's first overhead safety system.
