Musical Extravaganza explodes at Macau
Tower this summer! Macau Music Carnival 2003,
a large-scale, glittering outdoor party first of its
kind that brings in the most exciting-ever line up
of Cantopop performers to star in two concerts on
2nd and 9th August at the brand new 20,000-audience
Piazza in front of Macau Tower, will thrill every
local Macau resident as well as visitors from Hong
Kong and the region. On each of the two Saturday nights
from 7:00p.m. to 9:30p.m., the sky will erupt with
laser light as the spectaculars celebrates summer
- dazzling special effects, electrifying dance performance
and musical hits will all be choreographed to a fascinating
entertainment event.
Featured in the dance-themed concert
on 2nd August are Cantopop stars Boyz, Jordan Chan,
Mini Cookies, E-Kids, EO2, Andy Hui, Tiffany Li, Juno
Mak, SiSi, Emme Wong and Joey Yung. On 9th August,
the atmosphere of celebration will exhilarate with
the performance of such pop idols as Eason Chan, Stephanie
Che, Denise Ho, Jade Kwan, Edmond Leung, Gigi Leung,
Candy Lo, William So, and Miriam Yeung.
The two performances of Macau Music
Carnival 2003 are stand-up concerts that allow
a high level of participation from the audience dancing
and cheering throughout. Tickets are priced at HK$80,
HK$150 (stand-up tickets without seating assignment)
and HK$280 (seated tickets with seat number pre-assigned).

The musical journey continues as Macau
Tower also presents a starry exhibition high on 223
metres above ground at the Observation Lounge, showcasing
a sparkling series of memorabilia collected by the
participating artistes. By displaying many concert
costumes, movies memorabilia, photos and awards, the
Observation Lounge will be turned into a highly entertaining
place for the entire month of August.
Macau Music Carnival 2003 is
jointly presented by Instituto Para Os Assuntos Civicos
E Municipais and Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment
Centre (under the umbrella of Shun Tak Hospitality
Services Limited); co-organised and produced by Yiu
Wing Entertainment Company Limited; supported by Macau
Government Tourist Office and Macau Foundation. Sharing
the common objectives, these organizations bring in
an alluring array of the region's most popular artistes
to the event, in the spirit of boosting tourism in
Macau as well as establishing Macau Tower as one of
the key event centres of the city.

The Macau Tower is the 10th tallest
freestanding tower in the world. The 338-metre Tower
