Hot Air Balloon At Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre this Holiday Season

Macau Tower proudly presents "WOW 'n' WILD at Macau Tower this Holiday Season" which will provide you a series of unforgettable enjoyments this winter. One of the highlights is the first hot air balloon tethered ride ever in Macau and Hong Kong. Passengers can enjoy the beautiful Macau cityscape from the hot air balloon at an altitude of 100 feet above the ground. The balloon can take up to eight passengers each time.

The hot air balloon ride is presented by Macau Tower and Visions Balloons Ltd. for the period from December 19, 2002 till March 18, 2003. Visions is the sole distributor for the China region for Lindstrand Balloons UK Company, and there are future plans to operate free-flying hot air balloon rides in the Pearl River Delta Region.

Lindstrand Balloons UK was founded by the renowned Per Lindstrand since 1975. Per Lindstrand has pioneered many technical innovations offering advanced balloon technology and a superior balloon system for all balloonists to enjoy.

Since 1995 Lindstrand, along with Richard Branson (Virgin Airlines), has attempted to be among the first people to circumnavigate the earth in a combination gas/hot air balloon. In December 1998, with Richard and Steve Fossett as fellow crewmembers, Lindstrand flew the ICO Global balloon 60% of the way round the world covering a distance of 20,000kms.

Hot Air Ballooning is a sport that started with man's very first flight in 1783. To fly aboard a hot air balloon is a magical experience - drifting gently with the breeze - giving passengers a mystery tour, courtesy of Mother Nature.
