
"Rivers Deep Mountains High - Painting by Fu Bao Chi"
Fu Po Shek Biography
Mr. Fu Pou Shak was a Jiangxi Nanchangese.
He was born in 1904 and died in 1965. He was a famous artisan-painter
in modern China.
He was graduated in The First Educational
Colleague with a specialization in art and to appoint to
teacher in 1926. Mr. Fu secured Mr. Tsui Bay Hung's pushing
on his youth, and helping him studied in Japan. Later he
came back to China and taught in the Nanjing Art Institute.
After that Jiangsu Traditional Chinese Painting Office and
Nanjing Normal University offer him as the dean and professor.
After the new China developed, he was a vice-chairman of
China Art and Craft Association and was a chairman of Jiangsu's
chapter; he also participated as the third whole China Political
committee member. His famous writing has "Research in Chinese
Paintings", "Apply Chinese Paintings", "Chinese Nature and
People Paintings Technical" etc.
Mr. Fu was a famous landscapist after Mr.
Wong Bing Hong, and he developed his painting to a new stage.
He was good at blending water, Chinese ink and colour combine
together. His paintings most target on ancient literature.
Mr. Fu loved Main China so much that he has
traveled half the places in China. He used his colour pen
to draw out mountains and rivers' magnificent, affect by
the nature environment, he becomes a modern painter. We
can also see that his name is also related to the Chinese
nature environment.
Mr. Fu was a international reputation, his
real printing cannot be seen easily. When he died, his family
donated his 400 paintings to Nanjing Art Museum for collection.
In memory of Mr. Fu's hundred-year birthday,
Macau Art Museum with the help of Nanjing Museum, allied
with Macau Foundation and MGTO to hold this exhibition.
Organizers hope this exhibition could be enhanced the art
lover in Macau.
