The 7th Macao International Trade & Investment Fair (MIF), organized by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, will be held from Oct 24 to 27, 2002 at Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre. This is the largest international trade fair in Macao and it provides an ideal business platform for traders from China, the Asia Pacific, and other parts of the world.

Widely known as the "Monte Carlo of the Orient", Macao is renowned as an attractive tourist spot. The Special Administrative Region Government of Macao (SAR) has determined to develop the city into a multi-faceted tourist center which in fact has lead Macao onto the road of a remarkable economy transformation. As a result of the Liberalization of gambling licenses, a total of 2.3 billion US dollar will be invested by the international enterprises in Macao. The influx of investment, together with a host of experts, will facilitate the rapid development of the SAR and will certainly be a booster to the local economy. The forth coming MIF will highlight Macao as a "Regional Trade & Economic Platform", whereas "Tourism & Leisure" will be the main force for the exhibition section.
